I need help learning about becoming certified to ship reptiles.

I am going to have lots of hatchlings this fall and well.... I've always wanted to become certified to ship them since then I could probably sell them a bit easier. Our local pet stores either have closed or no longer carry reptiles so this is an option I need to look into. But I have...

I need some help... possible egg binding situation

OK... I've searched the thread and read the info there in but I would still like to ask some questions of people who have dealt with egg binding. My candy cane Persephone laid three HUGE eggs yesterday... but one is stuck. Now, I am trying to give her time to pass it but... it is really high...

    Suppose I should start...

... I haven't posted any pics of my clutches yet and its about halfway through the season here for me... egg wise anyway. My snow Isis really slugged out this season so I didn't take pics of hers... but my Okeetee Bridget and my Normal het Lavendar Pandora have both laid their first clutches...

    A blessing and a curse...

Isis laid her eggs today... and she laid 20 just like last season... however, 12 of those were slugs... one looks like its half fertile half not so I'm thinking it will go bad... and the other 7 appear fertile but seem kind of small... so yeah... this must be my Murphy year. Bleh. Poor Isis...

    Here we go again...

I have my first hook-up of the season... my Amel. Solis with my snow Isis. I was planning to give Isis a year off but she was SO inisistent that she be put with the boys. And my other amel girl, Persephone, isn't ready to breed this year... we're going to wait on her till next season. No pics...

    Question...

Would anyone happen to know what on earth a hypo anery lavendar would look like? I was browsing through the for sale snakes and started to wonder where I really want to concentrate my breeding projects in the future. Just curious...

Evander, my hold back from the first clutch

So, here Evander... my male hold back from my girl Athena's first clutch of this season. He's about 8 or 9 weeks old now and HUGE in my opinion. My question for those of you looking is this... when he was first hatched i thought he was a hypo... then he started to look like just a really...

    My second clutches... pics

Here are some shots I took of my second clutches from my girls. The pics aren't too great but they were the best I could do. Isis double clutch was all amels... again... which was what i expected.

    Hatchling question... again...

So, I'm getting to the first shed and feed part of my hatchling rearing... and this first little hatchling that is half the size of the others and came form an egg which failed to produce its twin... well, it acts fairly normals... but its so tiny and still wrinkled. And it looks as though its...

    Question about Amel Hypos...

So, according to the corn progeny calculator... since Athena ended up being het for amel and Solis wound up being het for Hypo... it says that some of these amels are supposed to be hypo too... how does one tell the difference? Is there a visual difference, especially since amel masks hypo?

I just want to be sure...

... that this is a hypomelanistic hatchling? Am I correct? I thought when I saw its little head pipping out that it might be hypo but now that its out I want to make sure I'm correct.

    Popping questions...

I've been learning how to pop hatchlings and I'm curious as to the best time after hatching to do so. I've tried a few already and come up with 9 females and 1 male... and i'm thinking "this can't be right"... but since its my first popping experience I'm having a hard time identifying what the...

    Does this look fertile?

I'm not sure... this was the first egg Athena laid in her second clutch and she laid this one a good two hours before she settled in and started laying the others... so far most of the eggs look similar to this one so... do they look fertile? They aren't slimey but they are a more yellow color...

    Slug question...

OK.. so Isis quite unexpectedly laid a clutch today... her second with only one introduction to my male... and 5 of the eggs are obvious slugs. No biggie... but the rest look fertile but fel REALLY kind of mooshy... not wet and sticky or as deflated as the slugs but they did concave a bit when...

Double clutch for a first timer...

So, Isis' clutch is currently hatching ( and REALLY slowly I might add... only two out after 48 hours with all the eggs dimpling in) and today she starts laying another clutch that looks as though it might actually be fertile... 13 so far... holy COW that's a alot of snakes!
