There is a small portion at the very tip of his tail that is about 2 - 4 mm long that is not his color (its dark unlike his bright orange body). That part of his body looks... dead and its not that large I just would like to know if it is typical or if any action needs to be taken?

I've been feeding my snake pinkies for a while, then moved up to fuzzies recently. It took about triple the time for him to swallow it but I would like to know if there is a good rule of thumb for whether I should feed my snake pinkies or fuzzies.

It took about 2 or 3 months for my snake to shed for the first time (while I have owned him). Then 2 or 3 weeks later he sheds again. Why the big differance? He is one odd snake... doesn't know when to shed or where to poop.

Well... I don't really want to give him up I just wanted to catch some attention. Now that I have it I do have a pressing issue. Every other time I hold my snake he poops on me. And we all know reptile poop isn't the least disgusting in the world. It is almost like he saves it until I get ahold...

So I've been pooped on twice in the past 2 weeks. Of course I would like to avoid in the future so how do you know when a snake is about to poop?
