I ordered a 25 pack of adult mice from big cheese rodents for Ructo (my Corn snake in case you didn't know). It saved money even with shipping, so I went and did it, but I did realize they would be frozen together it what I call a "mice cube". :rofl: I was wondering how you guys separate them...

So I was thinking of getting my first dslr, and I was looking at the Nikon d3200 as stated in the title. Has anyone had experience with this camera? I know the d3300 is available, but it doesn't seem to be much better even though it is more expensive. So is the d3300 worth the extra money, or...

Is the aspen bedding labeled as for small animals okay for snakes? It looks different and in bigger pieces. Would it do the same job, or is there a problem with using small animal variety?

Finally got to sharing them

For the first time I witnessed Ructo shedding his skin. He had been getting ready, so just now when I looked he was mid shed! Very cool:) with a little moisture I got the tail part off because it stayed on. Eyelids are good and he seems fine. Food tomorrow though, I'm too lazy tonight.

So I have a critter cage, but how should I get the thermometer in? Should I drill the mesh slightly, go from underneath, or what? Ructo's last tank just had boards on top to keep him in, but this one has a mesh lid. Sorry if this a stupid question.

Is Ructo growing to fast, as in, should I slow down his growth a bit? He was born May 27, 2013, and I think he is already over two feet long. On that note, he isn't overweight, is he? Thanks.

Hello everyone! Ructo is growing up nicely. The thing is when he was sold to me he was diffused phet lavender. Is there any way to know if he is heterozygous for lavender just from pictures, or would tests be needed to decide? I feel like you wouldn't be able to decide if a snake is heterozygous...

Ructo is officially on fuzzies, but I still have a few pinkies left. How should I go about this? Should I do three at a time, throw them out, two at a time, or what?:shrugs:

What is the best store for online mice orders, and how many peach fuzzies will a snake eat before moving up to regular fuzzies? I am guessing not many, so should I go for the lowest quantity?

I think Ructo may have regurgitated but I wasn't sure if it was just feces or if what the yellowish stuff is. It seems very digested so I can't see a mouse resemblance. I need to know whether to do the regurge treatment. Thanks, Ructo
