i notcied that my snow corn has a sort of saggin lump in is body. is it possible that this might just be a fat build up or is it something i should get checked out by a vet?

I would get it checked by a vet anyway, just incase, but if you want some more of an idea as to what it is tell a bit more about the lump. Where exactly is it? When did it appear? Does it go away and come back, shrink etc etc. Does your corn seem in pain?? Either way, still make an appointment with the vet. Good luck!

the lumps right in the mid of the snake. and since it is a snow corn when you hold it up to a light you see can see through it and in that spot its black, if this helps any.

Sounds like you could be seeing its spleen (??) not sure cos I dont have a snow so haven't seen this before. From what I've read it *sounds* as if its in the position for the spleen. If its enlarged then I would hazard a guess as to it being some sort of septecemia. This could be complete bull, but thought I'd give it a guess anyway. Anyone else have any ideas??

one more question could my sanke have eaten a wood chip by chance? becuase like i said when i hold him up to light its a dark spot.

If it had eaten wood chip then he'd most probably be showing some signs of impaction by now. How is your snake generally just now? eating well etc??

The dark spot wouldn't be a woodchip, or I'd doubt it anyway, but then again I've never had a snake ingest substrate before. Sounds more like some organ that you can see.

How is that corn now?

CJ, How is that corn with the spot doing now? Did you figure out what it was? do you have Pics....Sam

I had a ghost develop a lump too last year. It was most likely a wood chip. He kept eating for a while, but the lump never went away. Finally he stopped eating and withered away pretty fast. Babies really can't handle chips like an adult would be able to.
