It's a lump, it's been there for days. It isn't hard or soft, but it's still there. And she hasn't eaten in a week. Exactly what is this?

How do you tell if eggs are ready to hatch???

Mine are about an inch long, and, more importantly, flecked with brown blotches. They are soft to the touch. Are they ready to hatch?

I have a large, healthy, female anerythristic, Matilda. I know she is 3 feet 7 inches long. I got her as an adult. Can you accurately judge a snake's age by its size? If so, how?

    My two eggs aren't hatching

I keep them wrapped in damp paper towels and at a warm enough temp. I know you should keep them in vermiculite or sphagnum moss, but I got them from a man who'd kept them like they are kept now for a while, and he's a seasoned herptoculturist. How do I sex Matilda?

Matilda is a full-grown Anerytheristic corn, and I'm not sure how to sex her. Her tail lenth indicates female, but I doubt that that's a surefire way to sex her. Do you know any other methods, apart from probing, which I can't afford?
