    Adult won't eat

I have been feeding my 11 year old corn for years successfully without any problem. The only time he has ever refused is when he is in his shedding cycle. Usually he is quick to strike right after he has shed - even the same day. It's been a couple of days since his last shed and he is not...

    Taking in a Wild Snake

Are there any reasons I should hesitate to take in a wild snake? One of my co-workers found what he believes is a corn in his yard. He's going to bring it in tomorrow. He says it is very small. I'm happy to adopt it, but I didn't know if the snake would be better off just staying in the wild...

    Hasn't pooped

I feed McKeldin on Sundays. He has usually pooped by Thursday or Friday. I'm supposed to feed again tomorrow but he hasn't pooped yet since last Sunday. Should I go ahead and feed as usual tomorrow anyway?

    Reusing vivs

I had heard previously that once you put a snake in a glass aquarium you could never reuse it for fish because of something that is emitted from a snake that is toxic to fish. Are their any limitations for reusing an aquarium for other reptiles like frogs, geckos, other lizards, etc...

    Feeding live mice

My corn was raised on live mice, so when I got him I was unable to switch him which is actually ok with me. However, because I can't control the mouse as I would be able to with a F/T, I can't ensure that the mouse is not on the aspen when the snakes kills and eats it. Do I have to worry about...

    Feed or shed?

I adopted a 9 year old corn last week. This weekend is supposed to be my first attempt at feeding. He was raised on live mice, but I figured I'd try f/t just to see, because if it worked - great. However, to make matters more complicated, this past Wednesday he started his blue phase...

    Looking for a vet

Don't suppose anyone out there is in the DC or Silver Spring, MD area that can recommend a good vet for my corn? Figured I'd try with you guys before asking "non-snake" people :)

    New Adult

I am contemplating adopting a cornsnake that was offered to me from the local animal shelter. There is still a lot I need to find out about it first, so I don't know much about it yet, but I was wondering where I can find info that is for a new owner that pertains to adults. The one thing I...
