snow that refused to eat, looking good now

Kokanee didn't eat f/t for over a month. I bought him in December and had his first shed about a week ago, after eating 2 live pinkies at a time. I was really worried about this fella. He's the calmest one I have. I real gentleman. He's much smaller than my females approx the same age. Enjoy

    15 DAYS not eating

I bought my snow in December. He was 2 live pinkies every 2 weeks there. I started him on f/t once a week-10 days, and he'd only eat 1. He wouldn't eat any sooner than that. He still hasn't had a shed. Temps are good. I've brained, just tried a pinky head and tuna scented, still nothing...

I may be purchasing this gorgeous male. I'm told he's an Okeetee, born in Medicine Hat. Think he is one, or a normal? I love his pattern and colors so I'm probably going to buy him anyway.

    Refreezing food?

My snow refused his pinkie tonight. It was thawed in warm water, and I have him about 2 hours and he didn't touch it. I refroze it, though thought maybe that wasn't a good idea. Would I be able to reuse that pinkie? Thanks Kathy

    popping

After reading the possible gender change of a snake, this could be the same for me. I have no experience, though I did see the breeder we bought our amel from pop all her hatchlings looking for a female for us. when I bought my snow, I was told he was a male. They judged by the tail only...

    confused about motley

I have seen some pics of motley and the circles go about 5-6 down before they connect on the sides. I have seen others that have virtually no connection on the sides almost all the way down. Then, I see others that appear striped to me, though may have a elongated circle 3/4 way down their...

    thawing out pinkies/fuzzies

I've read on some threads that pple thaw the pinkies out in a ziploc..why is that? We just put the pinkie in warm water without a ziploc. I am assuming once they are fuzzies, the ziploc is just to keep from the fur getting wet. thanks Kathy

does this look like a sunglow to you?

Found a fella in Edmonton that will have sunglows available in March. They are in quebec right now. I don't have a keen eye for what a hatchling might end up looking at, but he sent me this pic of a motley sunglow.

    Humidity

I was curious about the humidity in her viv. I'm in Alberta and it's very dry here, especially in the winter. I bought a hygrometer (sp) and it measured barely 30%. I bought some moss and sprayed it, and set it in the bottom of the viv. Now it's 60%. Is this much humidity ok all the time...
