    Hendrix

I haven't posted any pictures of hendrix on here since he was pretty small, so I thought it might be time to update a bit... here are a few recent pics we took.... http://i447.photobucket.com/albums/qq191/yvonne112/Hendrix/DSC01184.jpg...

    he just won't eat!

I've never had a problem with Hendrix not eating in the two years I've had him, recently I changed his subtrate to a softer mix (made of coconut, you soak in water)...since then he hasn't eaten! I've switched back to a courser subtrate just in case there was a problem with it, but he still...

    Hendrix before and after

Hi all, I was just looking through some of my pictures, and I had forgotten how small Hendrix was when I got him. I just wanted to post a before and after picture, and hopefully you'll follow my lead and do the same...

    another one educated !

I wanted to share this story, because when I told my mom that I decided to get myself a snake, she told me that if I did, she'd never step foot in my house again. She was so afraid of snakes. Well, I did get one, and she did visit, but wouldn't go near the snake. Slowly, I would take Hendrix...

    coloring

I've been noticing that Hendrix has a much brighter color on the top half of his body and it gets duller as it gets down towards the tail end. He's not quite a year old. Is this something that happens as they mature? Do they get brighter colored as they age?

    Hendrix

Here are a couple of recent pics I took of Hendrix, the first one was taken when he was inside his paper towel tube, the next he's checking out my flowers, then he decided that he wanted to hang out underneath them in the bowl!!

    Interesting saddles

I've just noticed something really neat on Hendrix's saddles. There's a spot where 4 of them spell out OHIO ! I'm going to try to get some pics tonight and post them for you to see. Has anyone else noticed anything like this on their corns? :crazy02:

    fuzzies/hoppers

This is going to probably sound really dumb, but everytime I go to my pet store and ask for fuzzies I seem to get something different. The last time I went, I got little guys with white fur on them. Last night I went, and they gave me smaller ones with very little fur or fuzz. They almost...

    So Gross

So far every time Hendrix has shed, we've kept the skin. It's fun comparing the latest one to the very first little one. BUT... we sure didn't want to keep this last one...I fed him while he was in blue, usually he won't eat, but I always try anyway, and this last time he ate. He shed on the...

    silly snake

Well, Hendrix did so well with the larger fuzzy he got last week, that I decided to stay with the same size. Now, Hendrix is usually a "butt muncher" but last night he decided to start at the head. He got the head in but the little fuzzies front legs were at either side of Hendrix's head and he...

    Worried

I fed Hendrix a fuzzy last night, I thought that it was a bit large, but not to big for him. When he started eating it, I saw that it was bigger than I thought, and I'm really worried that he might regurge. He didn't seem to have to much trouble eating the fuzzy, but his skin just looked so...

    The Butt Muncher !

Just thought I'd add a few new pics of the butt muncher! This is Hendrix enjoying his latest meal!

    a really cool shed

I knew Hendrix would shed soon, because he just was in blue a couple of days before. I had him out on Friday night, and he started rubbing along my hands and fingers like a cat does. He would dig his nose right into my fingers, then turn his head and rub as hard as he could. I thought it was...

    shedding and blue

Hendrix has come and gone through his blue, it ended about 4 days ago, and his color seems to have brightened a bit near the top but still very dull closer to the tail end. How long does it usually take to shed after the blue phase?? I can't remember, is it usually a week or so? He's refused...

    Brumation

I've been reading some things on brumation, and from what I understand, it's kind of like hibernation in mammals. What I'm confused about is this: is it something that I should be letting my corn do? Should I leave him alone for a length of time? I see in some threads that people give their...

    He's so trusting

I was going to feed Hendrix on the weekend, but my husband wasn't done holding him yet, so I thought...o.k., let see if he'll eat out of your hands! here are a couple of pics I took !!

he hasn't shed in a while

The last time Hendrix shed was Dec 15th. He still hasn't shed since then, and doesn't look any duller or blue at all. He's about 5 months old and about 15 inches long. He eats 2 pinkies every 4 or 5 days. I was under the impression that he should be shedding every 4 weeks....should I worry?
