    Funny feeding video (Granite)

My granite corn, Edvard aka "Eddie" is by far the most voracious (and fastest) feeder in my collection... he's not even two years old yet, and about the size of a full-grown male corn. I swear, he would eat a dead cat if I offered! I took some video of him eating tonight, number 2 of 3 f/t...

    Baby Ball Pythons!

My one clutch (ball pythons) of the year is finally hatching, and boy are they taking their time! The first one slithered out on Thursday, the second one tonight, and the other 3 are still thinking about it... I'm going crazy with impatience, so thought I'd post some photos to pass the time...

    Some cute feeding pics...

Okay, maybe it's weird to call them "cute," when we're talking about a snake eating a mouse... but I think my fellow snake folks get it! :D And don't worry, these are all f/t mice - LOL. Wednesday the ghost-motley, eating in her favorite hide (I removed the lid) And Coraline the amel girl

    Feeding FAIL!!

Scout (Aztec reverse Okeetee) was a bit too excited over his f/t mouse tonight, and FAILED when he fell into the water dish while striking... two seconds before this photo he was completely submerged in the water, LOL. :p

Good clutch, bad clutch - in one day!

Boy, today (yesterday technically) was quite a day! First I woke up to my Ball Python Nerissa laying eggs... unfortunately I was on my way to work, so I only got to see the first one come out. I was stressing and anxious to get home all day, and check on the final tally - got home around 9pm...

    Awesome tongue shot!

If this were anything other than a snake forum, that thread title could seem VERY dirty... LOL. :D Anyway, I got this really cool "tongue shot" of Scout, my reverse Aztec Okeetee, and thought I'd share it with you all... also got some other nice photos, using my new little Canon Elph. FYI, this...

Snakes/Lizards Exhibit at CA Academy (PICS)

Today my mother & I went to the California Academy of Sciences (San Francisco) to view the new snakes/lizards exhibit... I actually have more snakes at my house, but I did get to see some cool critters! I certainly don't have a Gabon Viper, for example, so at least there was some novelty to it...

Playing around with the new camera...

I recently had to get a new camera, thanks to my 3 1/2 year-old niece, who broke my old one last month. But at least the new one is better, and of course I had to try it out on the snakies! Here are some shots of my corns, since I know the non-corns aren't allowed... LOL. Betty the Miami...

    Wednesday loves her new hide!

I bought this REALLY cute hide the other day, intending it for my (yearling) Jungle Carpet Python... turned out to be too small for him, so I gave it to Wednesday the ghost-motley corn instead. She absolutely loves it, and it makes for some super cute photos! :D (she's going into shed, fyi)

    Rack/heat question

I just did some "reorganizing" of my collection, and moved all of the corn snakes into a 30qt back-heat rack. I've used this rack for corns before, but I was living in chilly San Francisco at the time... now I'm living in a warmer town (and in a more insulated apartment), and the temps are way...

    Dividing a tub??

I'm trying to re-configure my snake collection (for a variety of reasons), and having trouble finding the best arrangement. I currently have 4 racks & 27 snakes in total - 7 corns, 14 ball pythons, 2 spotted pythons, 2 stimson's pythons, a jungle carpet, and a western hognose. I really want to...

    Now that's a cranky corn!

I still have my cranky Miami girl, Betty, and have been trying to tame her with regular handling... she's getting a little better, but as you can see below, she still really wants to nom me!! :grin01: Thought you all might like these pics: She loves to knock over her water dish... pain to...

Mean but pretty Miami... local (Bay Area) preferred

I've decided to find a new home for "Betty," the mean little Miami phase corn. I have no plans to breed Miamis, and she's just not nice enough for a pet-only snake! She's currently a biter and mega-rattler, but could mellow with age and regular patient handling. She's a small juvenile at...

    Jungle Carpet post-shed...

Kipling the 1 year-old JCP shed today, so I got some photos while his tub was drying (had to do a PAM treatment). He just loves my bathroom - so many neat climbing things! :D But I'm his favorite thing to climb... LOL.

And now... a ghost in a pumpkin!

I posted some "ghosts in a skull" pics last week, and here's part two of my Halloween Herps photos... my little ghost motley, Wednesday, in a ceramic Jack-O-Lantern. She loved this thing so much, I considered making it her new hide - but I'm just afraid she'd get stuck in the eyes/nose...

    Ghosts in a skull...

Okay, so only one of them is a ghost (motley), and the other is a granite... but it sounded cooler to say ghosts in a skull, LOL. ;) Anyway, I was doing a photo shoot for another forum, since we're having a "Halloween herps" contest. I used two corns, a Mojave ball, and my jungle carpet, and the...

    Post-shed BP clutch

My ball python clutch (normal x mojave) has all shed now, and 4 out of 6 have eaten at least one meal... so it was time for a quick photo shoot! Obviously my odds weren't great with only one mojo, but I'm still in love with each and every baby. :) Can you tell who's the outgoing baby...

    Veruca (Stimsoni) outside

My Stimson's Python (Antaresia Stimsoni) Veruca has these amazing eyes, which only photograph well in natural lighting... she will also strike at a camera flash, so I try to avoid that as much as possible. Anyway, she was being all restless today, so I took her outside for some modeling - here...

    Betty the brat (Miami)

I realized I haven't posted many pics of Betty, my little Miami phase girl... I actually call her Betty the "female dog," but brat seemed more forum-friendly. ;) Despite her serious attitude (tail rattling is her favorite activity), she is quite beautiful to look at - and at least she's a great...

    Baby Ball Pythons!

Soooooo, there's still ONE baby who has yet to emerge, but I can't wait any longer to share the photos. This was a pairing of a normal Ball Python female, with Mojave and Pastel males... looks like the Mojave won out, because a beautiful one hatched today! Unfortunately that's the only morph in...
