    how long for shed?

    fairly new snake owner...just wondering, how long should I leave him alone when he's going to shed? He's due for a feeding, but I noticed he's been hiding out. I can see him burrowed under the aspen if I pick up his viv & look underneath, and I can tell he's dull, so I'm assuming he's about to...

    aspen bedding ok?

    I'm a fairly new snake owner...just changed the bedding for the first time....is aspen bedding ok? I've noticed the snake burrows under it now, which he never did with the old stufff (though I don't know what that was)...is this normal?

    what temp?

    I'm new at this, I'd appreciate some advice...my son has a year-old corn, should I be using a under-tank heater for him? I put it on last night & this morning the snake was up at the top edge of his tank (unusual for him)...we keep our thermostat at 67 at night, 70 during the day...help please!

    bugs in the water???

    advice anyone? my son has a year-old corn & lately I've been seeing tiny little brown bugs in the water bowl. I clean it out & give fresh water & the next day there they are again! Can this be dangerous to the snake? Help! I don't know much about snakes...
