Yearling Raider corns

These two raider corns are the same age. The female is adult size already. She's over 300 grams.

The male is still under 20 grams. He eats often enough but there's definitely something wrong with his metabolism. We have 3 of them from the same clutch that are doing that. One of his sisters eats like a pig but just will not grow.

Those must be the ones Hurley was talking about in the chatroom...Anery A bloods?...Thats some kind of size difference there, Serp...

Raider corns?

I've heard Anery 'A' Bloods being called Granite corns, are these something different?

Yep these are anery A with the diffused (blood) pattern. I've heard granite and raider used for the combo, but I've also heard granite applied to other things. I thought raider was appropriate for these given their head patterns. :)

Raider Corns

Now that's a name I like and could really live with...Of course it has nothing to do with my being a true RAIDER fan....

Have you had the little one's checked out for some kind of internal parasite???

Oh, I would have SO named the larger one Lyle. I had a crush on Mr Alzado for YEARS when I was a kid. lol These days it's Bob Golic. *swoon*.

That's incredible about the size. Could it be a genetic thing? Maybe? (I know nothing on this subject)

This is my anery blood!

Well, that makes 3. Pepper, Granite and Raider.

I think I'll stick with anery 'A' Blood.
That way if I ever produce any I can lable the deli cups...Anery 'A' Blood, AKA Granite AKA Pepper AKA Raider. Dang, I guess I'd better buy larger lables!
Maybe we'll get some more in the mean time, how about Greystone or Confederate or Bloodgrey. Oh, wait. Almost forgot Diffusegrey! ;)

Why are Anery A’s so hard to name?

I am not so sure how fond I am of Anery A Bloods in the first place, but Ice Bloods will be a very interesting morph to be sure and they already have a name waiting for them. I am sure that somebody will object and a naming thread will result, but that is the way these things play out. I have a couple of Raider Corns and they are pretty nice, but they will be bred to Ice Ghost when the time comes. I have some Hets for Lava Bloods, 50% poss het Anery A, so I may get lucky with the right pair of them, but I would need a miracle.

I have a photo of a Granite Corn from Keys Corns somewhere, but I can‘t find it. That name has been used for them for quite awhile, but you don’t see them available. The names seems fitting for them.

Steeler Corns, humm, King Corns are black and yellow. The Golden Okeetee on this forum looks like one if you ask me. It would sure fill your request for a corn for Steeler fans. I am your rival and like the Raiders, so I could live with that name.
