Breeding question

So I joined this forum a couple moths ago and have been reading up on breeding, as I hope to breed my corns in the future (probably far future). I thought I was really getting it, how traits are passed down and what to breed to what to get a specific morph, but then I came across a comment saying that breeding a recessive to a recessive, say a charcoal to an anery, I will produce Normals that are het charcoal or anery instead of charcoal het anery and vice versa. This comment may be completely wrong, but it made me question my future plans and what I thought I knew about genetics. Now this is probably a REALLY stupid question, i know and i apologize ahead of time. I tried looking more into this but I really could'nt come across an answer, so if anyone could clear this up to me it would be greatly appreciated!

If you bred a charcoal (with no hets) to an anery (with no hets), you would get normals that are het anery and het charcoal.
