Well...I was spending the night at my grandma's house and jsut wlaking around the golf course when suddenly a billion (ok maybe a dozen or more) snakes start showing up! It was so cool. I even caught one!
Is this a ribbon snake? They were everywhere, breeding!

Ok...this next one..well, I'm not really sure what it was, but it was the only huge snake there, and it was really smart...it stalked us hehe. It was sort of brownish in color...not sure if it was poisonous or not.

And this was a few years ago when my sister was looking for worms for a turtle we found.....instead we found this little guy..I think he's an Eastern Brown Snake? I really knew nothing about snakes when I picked him up, but I was sure he wasn't venemous...hehe my dad said he was a rattlesnake....he's such a girl. :)

Nope, those are garter snakes, a close relative to the ribbons.
The snake in the last pic is definitely a brown snake

Hmm, that's weird. The closeup picture of the garter was the only reddish one I saw, and he was really big too. (well, compared to the black & yellow ones) So are they different types of garter snakes or something? Because all of them were small/skinny and black & yellow besides the big one.

That big one with the red on the sides is cool looking snake.I'm willing to bet thats a big female.Looks just like one me and my kids had last year.

i believe the one with red is a female red sided garter snake or i could be wrong.
