Strange bulge on Anus Vent

I have a baby corn snake that we purchased about 3 weeks ago. Pretty sure its a female. Doesnt really matter to us but that what we are going with lol. She was super chill first couple weeks we got her and has ate frozen pinkies about every 5 days with no issues at all. Started last week she is kind of aggressive when you go to get her out. she strikes and even bites some times. At first we took it as she is hungry so fed her. still same thing. Once you get her picked up she is chill and seems to like to be held. I noticed the other night that she has a small clearish bulge at her vent. Figured maybe she was ready to poop. 2 days later and its still the same. One other thing is her color is duller than it was which i took for she is about to shed. almost 2 weeks now and still same and i have never seen her eyes get hazy like snakes i have had in the past. Let me know what you all think it could be. Like I said other than the aggression and color she seems happy

Sounds like she musked you! Sorry to ask for another picture, but could you also take a picture of her whole body, ideally in natural light, like by a window?

She does look a little bulgy by the vent. Sometimes when snakes go blue, they won't poop until after their shed. At her size, being in blue for 2 weeks is unusual. Babies usually don't take longer than about 7 to 10 days. I'm wondering if maybe she has a full body stuck shed. I feel like I might be seeing some pinched skin in the area between your thumb and index finger, which could be a sign of dehydration or a stuck shed. Has she still been eating while this has been going on?

Yes she has been eating perfectly fine. She has never been in blue that I know of. Her eyes have been clear the whole time. She is just a bit cranky when getting out but has been eating pinkies frozen every 5 days. I have had ball pylon and red tail boa before so im a bit familiar with shedding. She doesnt look like she has even started other than her color being a bit dull. no hazed over eyes yet at all. But when you get her out she calms down and stops being cranky. I will try to get another picture tomorrow. she was not happy and actually just ate yesterday so she has a buldge.

also She liked to lay under her water bowl which is on the cooler side of tank other than in the hide with heat mat under it. the temperature in the tank is usually around 73 all around being its a small tank. Plan to upgrade later when she is bigger. humidity is around 53 percent or higher. highest i have seen it was 60 one day. seems like all these things are in check. I would like it to be warmer ambient temperature so thinking of a heat light

I feel like I'm seeing a slight bulge in the middle of her body too? Do you feed in her enclosure or in a separate container? Her color does look slightly dull, which is not normal unless they're in blue. Did you or anyone else pop her to determine her sex?

This might require a vet visit with a reptile or exotics specialist.

I feed her in her inclosure. I popped her but was my first time and nothing came out so we called her a girl lol. But my first time doing so may not be perfect at it. We found some poo yesterday and the vent is not bulges like it was. She still is full but no haze on eyes. She seems less aggressive now as well so maybe she was just grumpy

I once saw someone pop their baby corn incorrectly and cause a prolapse. Not saying that's necessarily what happened here, but is it possible you used a bit too much pressure? When feeding in the enclosure, there's a slight risk of impaction due to accidentally eating the substrate that's stuck to the mouse. It's not super common, but that would be the next thing I would be considering.

Hopefully it will keep getting better and work itself out!
