Hi from...

fyrefocks

Nate lover
...my living room.

Its dawned on me that while ive lurked this forum for a while and ive even spoken up here and there to comment or ask a question, ive never actually introduced myself.

The short version is that ive been keeping various herps for the past 13 years and int he past couple years i finally found my niche in corn snakes. I also keep a small hognose colony and a couple leopard geckos. Nothing to fancy here.

Im completely fascinated with striped snakes and my goal is to try to consistently produce sunspots. Its going to take a few generations of very selective breeding, but ive got great animals to start with in a variety of genetic combinations. I expect some fun stuff in the next couple years. Ive also got a couple diffused projects in mind and i recently picked up a motley bug.

Outside of my herps i own a dog, Tiva (red husky), and 2 cats. I enjoy reading, cooking, and gaming of all kinds.

I look forward to sharing what i know, and learning from those who know more than me, which would probably be most of you. Maybe ill even give some of you some of my hard earned money.

Alan, thanks for the welcome? But i dont give away money. Im actually a huge fan of the barter system and the idea of trading a snake for a snake. I wish more people were that.

What kind of corn snakes do i have? The live kind. Though i might a frozen anery A in the freezer.

Stripes-

.02 amel stripe/cube het anery ph caramel produced by JMK Snakes from SMR stock. Definitely awesome snakes!
1.1 unrelated snow stripes w/unknown hets. The female has golden iris' and pupils.
1.0 strawberry(?) ghost stripe/cube.

1.1 okeetees

1.0 snow. Apollo is 14 years old, weighs 700+ grams, has sired two clutches, and pounds small rats. Hes going to live forever.

1.0 strawberry(?) snow

Motleys-

1.0 anery motley with 3 possible genetic backgrounds. He was a slow starter, so his producer put him in the bottom of the rack for winter without writing down where he came from. He was forgotten about. He could be het amel or het dilute or het lavender.

0.1 butter motley.

Diffused-

1.0 diffused ph lavender from Susquehanna Ectotherms. He has a lot of white coming in on his sides.
0.1 lavender ph diffused from S. Ecto. Shes a half sib/direct sib/cousin to the above male.
0.1 anery het caramel, amel that i produced. Ill be using her with the above male for some home grown granites.
0.1 diffused amber.

1.0 butter. Impulse buy. No plans right now.

Well hi there and welcome to the forum. You have a great colony it sounds like but you will have to post some pics :D I'm confused about the Okeetee's you have them under the stripe category?

That list was thrown together quite haphazardly. The okeetees and the 2 male snows are not part of any projects. The butter male is not part of any plan either. My bad.
