I had a clutch hatch out with 3 google eye snakes and one stripe anery with normal eyes. 2 of the google eye snakes were seriously malformed and died. The other one has only 1 google eye and is still alive but hasn't eaten.

What causes this deformity? The two snakes that bred were siblings so maybe it is because of inbreeding. Or is it because of conditions during incubation?

i really don't know the answer.... bug eyes in hatchling cornsnakes is not uncommon, but it does not usually cause any problems. so, we will just have to wait for a more experienced keeper than myself to come along and find this thread...
