Well my sister has been looking for a breeder for ages and found one pretty close(not sure who it is) She did not was one because then it would get lonely or something so she talked me in to getting one. Were getting them for Christmas. She will be doing most of the care ill just be helping play with them and buy food. Were going friday to look at the guys and see if we like any of them.
 
That isn't what we said. I personally don't think you've done enough research. They aren't easy pets, need a HUGE amount of space, and pretty much need to stay with their owners at all times for the first month or so to bond with their human. I honestly don't think any teen should have one (actually, I'm not sure they should be kept as pets at all).

A I said they are pretty much my sisters im just there to help pay for them and play with them. she has been researching for a long time and and David pretty much did when he said it would be better if they escaped
 
Either escaped or captured by a liberal. But I haven't decided yet. Thats not a political statement just a joke people! Don't make me break out the pandas!
 
Gosh you people are really being mean....well at least David is, Hallie at least spoke like she was trying to give advice.I know someone who has had a sugar glider since she was 14 and the thing is doing perfectly fine.

I respect what Hallie said. But its when someone says that y animals would be better off if they escaped is what gets me.
 
I have the kids phone number. I try to give advice and it just doesn't get across. I must have been a real pain in the butt

Yeah, I think that was completely rude and uncalled for.

David, I know you're all "reformed" and whatnot now, but seriously, you should at least be a little more understanding of where this kid is coming from seeing as you were the same way. Don't start acting all high and mighty now just because you have people that back you up.
 
I know its not about you but it really makes me angry when people say things like that. So the kid is 16, at least he isn't 8. If his sister has done a lot of research and knows what she is getting into then I say go for it, get the sugar gliders. He said he is helping her, and they know enough to get two so I'm pretty sure they'll be okay. I swear at this rate if views on this forum translate to real life nobody under the age of 18 will be allowed a pet...not even a betta fish...
