"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
I caught one of our girls giving birth today and I thought I would put together a thread of pictures on the progression of laying an egg. Thanks for looking and I hope you like.

Wow, those are some awsome pictures! Very clear and always neat to see a big girl laying her clutch! Congrats on the eggs, definately looking forward to seeing the pippies in a few months!

wow, dont know how I missed this thread earlier, but week in review pointed it out to me. beautiful snake and pics on the egg laying process. I just may wait for those to hatch before I purchase another classic snake.. she's a beauty.

Awesome! I love seeing egg laying pics (as opposed to egg-laid pics . . . I guess I like those too . . .). I created a thread just over two years ago with the same type of pictures . . . just went and found it . . .the pictures weren't linked anymore. I think it's because they are/were linked from my old web hosting site. :shrugs: I can't edit it to find out (ooooohhhhh Deeeeeeaaaaaaannnnnnnnn??!! Susan? Miiiiiiiike?!?!)

Anyway I don't want to steal your thunder unless you'd like me to repost them here?!!

PS. Thanks to Elle or I would have missed this thread!!

Well, Thank you! These were originally posted on 4/11/05! Can't believe it was that long ago! Same premise as what you have above. She was laying eggs, I caught her in the act, and was able to shoot one as it was laid . . .

Here's right at the beginning, some eggs are obviously already out:

Came back a bit later, and here's the one I caught . . . slooooowwwwww mo!

Not quite done! I think she had about 7 or 8 more at this point:

They even hatched!!!

Excellent photo opportunity and you took it. Nice pictures. I think this will be a good thread to start something like this. If any of you catch any of your girls in the act of laying I would love to see the pictures. It is pictures and experiences like this that makes me really captivated by breeding these beautiful animals.

Well I guess I will be the first to add another. I came home from work today to have PJ tell me that our Amel that I was worried about (posted in another thread) is doing fine and dropping a ton of them. Well PJ diligently sat by her while she passed an egg and took a series of photos. I strung them all together for PJ to give a somewhat animated aspect of an egg being laid (thought it was the least I could do seeing how PJ did all the leg work  ). I thought I would post it so you could see. Thanks for looking and I hope you like.
