Mr Bonney in a loving mood!

Mice! They taste so nice!
I keep handling of Mr Bonney to a minimum usually, because although he doesn't bite me or even offer to strike he is quick to show when he's had enough by constricting my arm and musking. Tonight I needed to clean him out, but he was being ultra mellow, cruising calmly through my hands and even posing on the coffee table before I put him in the feeding tub.

Over 500g 5 months ago. I don't weigh him often because he doesn't like being confined in a small tub on the scales, so I have to put him in a pillow case, then subtract the weight of the pillowcase.......he's @ 4 1/2 foot of pure muscle, usually in a bit of a temper! I'm only just over 5 foot tall so handling him in one of his bad moods is always fun.

What a cool looking tongue! I don't know if I've ever seen (or noticed) a multi-colored tongue lol. He's a pretty boy! Looks just like my old yellow rat Cleo!

Mr Bonney was sold as a Deckert's (or Key rat snake) which would account for his tongue colour. (Haha! When I googled the species I came up with a quote from me, on here, describing Mr Bonney as having a skunk up his bottom!)

Managed to weigh Mr Bonney today without too much drama, although he did musk a little. He's 539g.

Here's Mr Bonney today. He was out for handling last night, didn't musk or bite. Today he could smell the thawed mice and was too flighty to handle.

An update for Mr William Bonney. Still my absolute darling of a grumpy, hard-to-handle snake!
