Ultramel Motley p/het Sunkissed Anery Test 1

CaptBogart

False Prophet
So, I had a few 2yo males who weren't up to breeding this year which left me with two available females, a 4yo Normal with unknown hets and a Sunkissed with unknown hets. I thought, why not let the 2yo Ultramel Motley have a go at them and see if his hets prove out. Of course I was going on the assumption that a pet store Normal purchased four years ago is more than likely het Snow, so I thought this might just be a fun clutch to watch hatch. Well so far she doesn't seem to be het Amel, buuuuuuut....

She is het Motley

and Anery, hooray, the Ultramel is def het Anery

The Sunkissed Clutch is due sometime next week, so we'll see what happens in test #2, and I'll update this thread later with better side shots and belly pics, once the rest of the clutch hatches...

That is so cool ... Congrats, on the hets!
Keeping fingers crossed, for you, on test clutch #2.
Pretty babies BTW.:)

Don't you just love nice surprises?? They are really pretty! Looking forward to seeing what the Sunkissed clutch turns out like!

Those look great! Congrats on the hets! :dancer:

Thanks, when they pipped all I saw was normal heads, and the first one out was a normal, so of course I was thinking, darn, she either isn't het for anything, or my male isn't het Anery, so more testing! So now I'm relieved, at least one p/het was proven. Then I was thinking, dang, no wonder there are so many threads asking, "Is this a Motley, Bloodred, or Motley Blood?" If there was Bloodred in the mix, this would probably have been another one, LOL.
I think they have a pretty neat look, but I'm still sticking to the "only one pair of keepers rule", so far, lol...
