Hello there, I'm new to all this. I have had my corn for a week now. I got her for free off of Craigslist, viv and all. The previous owners said that she was about 1 ½ years old. This is my first snake, thanks to this forum I learned a lot about my new family pet quick. The previous owners were using an under tank heater with out any type of controls on one side of the tank and a heat spot lamp on the other side of the tank. I built a rheostat today to control my temps with the uth and ditched the heat lamp. I also got a great indor/out door thermometer with hygrometer from the local Walmart. The thermometer is great because I put the outdoor probe down on top of the uth to keep track of the temps. I have two boys, 5 years old and 3 years old, they think the snake is the coolest thing ever! She is eating fuzzies right now but after feeding her one I am thinking that she is ready for hoppers now. The previous owners didn't name her so we named her Hunter. Here are a few pics of the new addition to our family. I know the quality isn't the greatest, all I had handy was the cell phone to snap some pics.
