New mommy to 6 little corn's and to the forum

wildcat

South african right here
Hi all.
After two years of failed attempts to hatch out a clutch I now have 6 little guys out and spritely as ever. All are doing so well, and what can I say, I'm terribly proud, and awed.
I think they are all okeetees, but I'm really not at all clued up on morphs. Was hoping for some suprises, but will have to be getting some interesting new children to do that. Mine dont seem to be carrying anything other than normal.
I'll try put a link up to my fb acc where the pic's are, cuz I'm on a phone, so can't upload to this site.
Lovely to meet you all :)

Welcome to the forum & congratulations on your first successful breeding. Please upload pictures when you can, OK? We love pictures!

Welcome and congratulations on your new babies!!! :wavey:

Looking forward to seeing them and also getting to know you.

How fun! Congrats on the Babies and welcome to the site :D when you post pics the folks here will be able to tell you that you got :D

Wow, thanx guys. I love friendly forums :)
as soon as I get to the internet cafe again I'll upload, i've been trigger happy so I've got a few good pictures.
They actually look like neither of the parents. Very dark, like light white blue on the flanks and deep dark burgundy saddles with black around them, though you'd have to look close to see it. Will the color change after the first side?
Also, the pet shop owner said he wouldn't feed f/t pinkie mice to the little ones, only live. I personally dont see the difference as long as its thawed and warm... Am I wrong?

Most feed f/t as long as they're eating well. The last thing you want is a grouchy, finicky hatchling who will only eat live. ;)

I am a noobie, so take this with a grain of salt, but most of the breeders that hang out on this board seem to try f/t pinks first, then various ways of making them more enticing, long before trying live pinks. I would go with their collected knowledge rather than the pet store guy. Hatchlings don't have to eat instantly like baby mammals, so if they refuse a meal or two you can always try the live at that point. F/t is so much easier, after all.
