'09 keepers!

hot jupiter herps
I've finally picked out my keepers from my amel stripe het caramel X golddust het mot clutch this year and I couldn't be happier with them!

First 2 are of the ultramel mot male. The second photo shows of his real colors. Can't wait to see him in a year or so.

The third one is of the fear less and completely impossible-to-photograph butter mot female.

The final two are of the golddust motley male. Again, the second photo really shows off his colors.

Enjoy!

I love the looks of the ultramel mot...the het caramel influence should really make him sharp as he matures!

Thanks guys!

Definitely not a pain to post the parents! Here they are. The amel stripe is the mother, and this is my absolute favorite picture of her! The golddust is the father, and impossible to take pictures of, although I haven't tried recently. This ones from over a year ago I think. He hasn't changed much though.

Thanks for posting the parents!

They both look great, I love the Amel Stripe, and the Gold Dust has amazing color. Is he by chance the same Gold Dust that sired my Ultramel?

He absolutely is the same golddust. The clutch you got your guy from had the most incredible colors, thanks to the mother RO's influence I think. I think i might do that pairing again next year, but we'll see.

These photos of the hatchlings I've posted are a bit washed out for some reason. They look fine in my photo editing program, but uploaded they're a little unsaturated. The ultramel mot's red color is very intense, which my screen at least is not showing.

The color of mine is amazing, I love the yellow background color. I think the RO and het Caramel influence is so strong the offspring should be considered their own type, like a selectively bred line or something. Ultramels are nice looking to begin with, but I really fell in love with the clutch you had.

BTW, if you do that pairing again I would like to know :wavey:. I can see why you did the pairing you did though, they look great and it would be awesome to have some Gold Dust Stripes.

Thats the goal! :D

Since I'm only waiting for a male to breed back to Raya, the amel stripe het caramel, I may be able to pull it off in two years, rather than three, which would be VERY nice.

I kept back a gorgeous girl from that clutch two years ago too, and so next year we will definitely see some hatchlings from her. I will absolutely let you know when the eggs start hatching!
