1.1 Normal het Albino Ball Pythons

So, my husband and I went to the Reptile Expo to get him a ball python. He wanted a morph, but they're all so expensive, so we ended up deciding to pay a tiny bit more for a normal het anything. We ended up finding an adult normal het albino that he really liked, but then saw at the next table, you could get a hatchling pair of normal het albinos for just a tiny bit more. So we did that since it was a better deal (imo) and we ended up coming home with TWO ball pythons, instead of the one we originally went for haha we figure in 3 years or so, we can try to make our own little albino babies to keep, or even if we don't, we still have a gorgeous pair of ball pythons.

The photos aren't very good because I snapped the hand ones quickly before putting them into their vivs to settle and couldn't really get any good ones once they were in them. Here are the babies... male first two photos, female second 2 photos. They are named Lestat (born 26 August 2011) and Bellatrix (born 3 September 2011). Thanks for looking!

Whoops - read over my last post... meant morphs were too expensive so we decided to pay more than just a regular normal and get a normal het anything... NOT that morphs were too expensive so we paid more than a morph to get a normal with hets hahaha that's kind of how it reads
 
haha well actually one of those names is from HP ;) the other is from interview with a vampire :) but thank you! little bellatrix has quite the attitude but lestat is pretty mellow. we're going to attempt to feed them thursday so fingers crossed that it goes well!
 
Well, I have to decided to keep this thread as a progression thread for Bellatrix and Lestat. I think that should be ok on this site as long as I keep it in general chit-chat, right? Someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

So far they're doing really well with handling. Bellatrix can be a bit snippy, but she's getting more and more mellow as time goes on. She's eaten twice for us, though its a chore to get her to eat. Lestat ate the first time we fed him like a little piggy! But, refused his second meal. I'm not too worried though since I got him to eat the first time. I'm sure he'll eat next time.

I don't have any awesome photos, but the photos I do have are better than the ones previously posted (I think) haha but after this post, I'll most likely only update after each shed like I do with my corn snake (who's progression thread can be seen here: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114288&highlight=finally+caved

Thought I'd add: Lestat and Bellatrix are the same size :) Lestat only looks way bigger because I'm holding him in the photos and my husband (who's arm is WAY bigger than mine) is holding Bellatrix haha They're actually exactly the same size :)
