2 questions :)

Ok, question #1~
I fed Stretch yesterday. Gave him one pinky... he ate it like it was nothing. No regurg, seemed to be a good feeding. Now, when I bought him the guy said "I think he ate 3 pinkies when he was fed last." Since he wasnt quite sure, I didnt want to stuff the lil guy with 3 pinkies lol. How do I go about seeing what he can handle? Do I give him a couple to see if he takes them and holds them in? And if so.... do I give them both at the same time, or one at a time?

Question #2 ~

Can you house more then one corn in a 20 gallon tank? Im already thinking of gettin one more.... you all were right, they are addicting! Since Stretch is still young, and the new one would be young also, is it ok to house them in the same tank?

Ty all for your patience with me! Reading this forum has been a lot of help. The search function is good too, saved me having to ask a question I had about humidity. :)

You should really never go over 2 of any mouse; if he is eating 3 pinkies then she is ready for a fuzzy. You can go 2 pinkies and then one fuzzy. If you feed him 2 pinkies and he comes out like that night and is looking around the tank then you know he is hungry for more. But if he accepts the 2 pinkies, and doesn’t come out then it might be time to move to a fuzzy. But you should never go over 2 mice, do 2 then go the next step higher

But for your second question I know there are several people that feel every strongly about housing 2 corns together. Some snakes get along great where others don’t get along so great, so I really don’t want to tell you its ok to house them and have another member get in a fight saying it is not. But I personally believe that if you keep their feeding schedule the same (every 5-7days) and do not feed them in the 20gL and geed them in another container one at a time, Then I think they should be fine. But I do not want to dispute this, it is just my opinion so my opinion pretty much means nothing ahhaha :grin01:

My boyfriend and I had the same question the main responce we got was to search on "housing multiple snakes" . It helped with our decision...make your own, thats the best advice I can give.

About the second question, I know someone that houses a 1.4 pair of corns year round and only about 2-3 lay eggs for the season. I also saw at a petstore that there was 4 baby corns in a 5 gallon tank. There was 4 actually because there was a wrinkly hollow snake skin, it was a half digested snake with a mouse in his skin mouth. Apperantly the 2 snakes tried to eat the same mouse.

The petstore that I bought my corn from had about 6 babies in the same tank as the I got mine from. So what Im gathering, its hard to fortell... its just a matter of each snake's personality. Makes sense.

Most pet stores don't have the room to house 6 babies in individual tanks. That's why you see that
