2 quick poop questions!

First question is:

How often should corns defecate? I honestly don't monitor how much as long as it's happening...just wondering if it's directly related to feeding (i.e. one poop per feeding, etc) or if it's kinda like people....you just go when ya have to go.

Second question is:

Now that my adult corn has layed a fat juicy poop on my carpet with little or now warning....is there anything that will get rid of the awful smell??

I got what I could up with paper towels, then used Resolve carpet cleaner....then more paper towels....then sprayed more Resolve to set in. Hours later, however, there is still a pungent odor in that room.

Hey,

Well I'm not too sure about the carpet one lol but my Corn takes a poo after every meal, she nearly always does it when I have her out! Probably the stimulation and heat from my hands either that or she doesn't like to mess her tank :grin01:

I even know she is going to do it so last time I got some toilet paper ready, after 10min of her being out she done the old sit still and stare, saw some movement down below, quickly put the paper under her and bingo she did it on the paper hehe.

Sorry can't help with the carpet question.

ummmm well, mine will usually go once maybe 2 times starting at about 3 days after eating.

hehe as for the carpet... maybe baking soda?? its supposed to help remove odors... I would sprinkle that on the carpet and let it sit abit and vacuum it up... hope that helps :)

Well I have a 7 month old Corn and he usually does 1-2 poos after he eats, usually a few days after.

As for the carpet, umm... I suppose you could use a solution made up of biological washing machine crystals and warm water (about 100ml worth of crystals to 3L of water) and scrub the patch. This won't stain or harm your carpet, but it does help with the smell. Also, open all the windows in the house and let the breeze carry the smell and make it seem a little more fresh. :)

Hope that helps!

Dave

The smell seems to have left now that it's the next day...lol. I think half of it was the psychological imprint -- scarred by the poo!
