I have two quick questions about my newest addition to my family. On Saturday I purchaced my first Corn Snake. So far I am very pleased with my decision to give a loving home to my little guy.
1st question is substrate.
Currently I have a viv set up with a 2 inch base of coconut/clay mixture with a 1 in layer of sphangum moss on top.
Is this an acceptable substrate for a corn snake?
2nd question is feeding / handeling.
I have an incredible urge to hold my little guy. He has been very relaxed when I have taken him out with no signs of stress or nipping when I approach him in the tank and after he is in my hands.
I fed him a pinky about 36 hours ago and I would like to know when it would be appropriate to handle him again without causing stress.
Thanks for any tips you can provide me.
