A question or two.

I am The Nitelion
I got a humidity gauge last night and my tanks humidity is at 45% is that to high? And also my snakes last shed was bad so I put her in a small tub with a towel and warm water and she LOVED it. would it hurt to put her in it sometimes to let her play?

I've learned that corn snakes aren't that sensitive to humidity levels, anywhere from 40 to 80 should be fine. For bad sheds humid hide indeed..

A humid hide is a great way to help with bad sheds but if she likes water then yes she can do play time every once and a while. Most don't like it.

Christen, you must have very different snakes than I do! I have several water babies who love to soak. I keep freaking out & thinking they have mites but I have never found a mite or any evidence of them, just snakes in their water bowls.

I was scared to death mine had mites in the first 2 weeks (Now I know why my parents freak so much when im sick or something lol) because of black dots in her water bowel then I stopped covering the top of the tank with a spare fuzzy cover and they went away

Huh? I must cause non of mine soak in their water dish. I have one that does not seem to mind being put in the bath tub and another one that doesn't mind soaking but I think that is because she has been a bad shedder since her first shed but the others hate it.
