A Way Too Long Description of Cash's Shed Today!

Green Chile

Noob Amel Owner
So about a week ago, after feeding my snake, I notice that his skin has significantly lightened up, especially around the tail. I was excited that he was approaching his first shed… at least with me. About five days ago, my Amel’s eyes became grey-bluish and he was damn irritable and psychotic, lol. I knew that he would shed very soon in the next few days. Anyway, earlier today I found him curled up in his water dish, lol just kickin it. So about ten minutes ago I picked Cash up and let him cruise around in some wet paper towels. Nothing seemed to be happening, so I let him explore my desk for awhile. This is the badass part. He started rubbing his head on everything on my desk! He would push his nose on something as hard as he could. He rolled the paper towel roll off my desk and pushed over an easy cheese can, lol. He was pushing so hard on stuff that his muscles would shake…. like after a hard workout. So after rubbing up against a bunch of random nonsense, the dead skin began to peel back. My heart was racing through this whole display because….. well, its awesome. I held his skin toward the end of the shed so he could crawl out of it easier. Now my snake’s colors are brilliant and I have a complete shed to admire. The skin is about 14 inches long and is drying as we speak. Yuuuupp, its shedding time in the snake world!

Congratulations! That was an enjoyable read. The easy cheese part made me laugh. Feel free to post descriptive stuff like this any time!

Hey thanks for reading! I had alot of fun re-living the experience through writing about it. For those that are interested, lol, I used Ritz crackers :eatpointe .
