Hi I am about to perchuse my first corn snake. I am 15 years old and i am looking for a pet that is interesting and easy to handel and likes to be handeled. I am wondering if these qualities can be found in a snake. I would also like if people could just tell me things they do and enjoy to do with there snake witch would make them want to have one.

Ya, snakes are great to have, and they will like to be handled if you do it alot, because then they will be less afraid of you. And they are very intresting. Hope you have fun wiht your new snake.

Snakes are great to have, but can be high maintance at times. All in all they are pretty easy to keep, but there can be situations that require alot of patience and maintance. Make sure you have the time and possibly the money to invest. You can read the threads around here and see what can happen, and what the best snake would be for you. I would also suggest you get as many and read as many books as you can. Be sure to research before you jump into this. Decide what age of snake would be best for you. I hope this helps some, and good luck.

Enjoy

Yeah, snakes are fun and rather lovable, if ya know what I mean. My favorites are blizzards, miamis and oketees. behaviour in morphs: There was a thread a while back... It'll work if you search BEHAVIOUR and MORPH.

Snakes are great and easy to keep most of the time, fun to play with!

hey, I'm 15 too and I must say that corns are great pets.
They're fun to have, nice to look at and pretty easy to take care of (time and money wise).
The only downside I guess is that they tend to be extremely addicting. :)

I am 15 as well (well 16 August 10 :) ) and I just got my very first corn about a month ago, so far the snake is easy to take care of, especially compared to my dog. I think corns make a great pet, and like Iris said, they are very addicting. Good luck with everything! Also I find it helpful if I have question to use the thread search key, its so much faster and easier than making your therad in some cases. Good luck and have fun!

Yeah im 15 aswell lol and when i wanted one i got flat NO's until my mum saw one (she hates snakes) so for sum1 who hates em to suddenly really like one they must be damn loveable and they are cute n fun even though mine hides n sleeps 24/7 unless i get him out which is liek everyday and they tame down REALLY quick and another bonus is here not many people around me have a snake so it's always liek "you have a pet WHAT2 so you get the bonus of that too!

TO ARADIA

Hey,
did you get the little corn back from the people helping to get it eating?
If so, how is it doing? If not, how is it doing?

Jimmy,
Well that is a double edge blade there. Its having to be force fed still, but it is taking whole pinkies. The girl I have befriended there calles the day after she feeds Eden and lets me know how its going. So far there is no regurg so I'm so happy about that. Thank you for asking. Hope you are doing ok.

Fingers crossed

The fact that it is holding the pinkies down is a good sign.
Hopefully it will just be a matter of time before it starts taking them on it's own.

Yeah, I really miss my little baby, but I'm so glad she is in good hands. Even if she is two hours from home. here is something interesting, I found the sale receipt I bought her from. It plainly says the snake was anywhere from 7-8 months old. I cant believe I was such a fool!
