adding silk flower greenery to a tank?

I quickly found out after bringing home our first snake last week...that we need two. Two kids + one snake = mom's headache over the posessiveness. In any case, my daughter wants her tank to be "girly" Go figure. What I want to know is can I put silk flowers / greenery in the tank provided I soak them in a bleach water solution for several hours, rinse them and let them dry completely? We are getting our second snake from Doc Walker and she will be here Thursday...we want the best for her. Im sure she will be "VERY HAPPY" with the disney fairies taped to the outside of her tank grinning at her. Oh, and her hides will be teapots with the bottoms cut off and carefully ground smooth and the actual spouts plugged....any issues with that? thanks for any input.

Silk plants should be totally fine. Bleach might ruin the colors of the plants if anything! but def let them dry out all the way. What I do, i let my plants soak in antibacterial soap then watered down vinegar, then hang in the sun to dry (also to UV disinfect! :)

I dont think that they should cause any problems, i make sure i get weather resistant plants from Michaels. That way i can put them in the top shelf of the dishwasher and dont have to worry about them leaking color or bleaching early :)

so to recap, I wouldnt worry, and very light bleach or vinegar should be fine! Everything else like the teapots sounds good too :)
I love decorating mine a little more "girly" too hah!
