Well i went on a shopping spre today getting ready for my first corn snake. bought a 20g tank, aspen, half log, and UTH. The UTH is going back found one on line for less than half, also buying online reptitemp 500R, another hide, and thermometer one with a probe, and temp and humidity gage.

now is there anything else i need? also when at the store the 10-20 gallon uth seemed kinda small for the 20gal tank i got, is it ok or should i go with the 30-40 gallon one. i think i read somewhere that the uth should take up 1/3 of the tank. im going with zoo med, does any one have the dimensions of the two sizes? im guess that in the package it just might be folded in half.

since i live in so cali, where the cold temp now inside is 73, will the 500R be able to regulate the temp so the hot side does not get over 90, i cant imagine it would take much heating to get it between 80-85.

hopefuly with in the next week or two ill get this setup and be able to purchase my snake.:dancer:

Sounds pretty good. Make sure to get a lid that locks (or buy locks seperately). I would stick with the UTH for the 10-20 gallon tank. That will be enough.

Yeah sounds like you got a good setup there, sound like you have been well informed ... You should share some pics with us
