Anybody keep horned frogs?

I have a question about my ornata, and I'm not sure where to find people that keep them, so I'll try here.
I have a (little over) one year old horned frog, and I'm a bit worried that he's getting too fat. I feed him two medium grashoppers every five days, and occasionally a fuzzy mouse.
Now horned frogs are in the best of circumstances little blobs imo , so maybe he just has a healthy weight on him.
Now somebody on fauna told me that he feeds every other day, and more than I am doing now... So now I'm confused.

So I would like to ask horned frog keepers to post a pic of your frogs if you don't mind, so I can compare with how mine looks. He is at my parents house at the moment (for as long as we are rebuilding our house), so I have no recent pics, but I'll take some sometime this week when I visit there again, so you can give your opinion on mine.

So with a few pics, maybe some people might give a reaction? I got a few from some different angles. Strangely the bigger belly on his right side is quite normal for him.
I heard that the colour of the throat might give an indication wether he is male or female, so if anybody has any ideas about that, you are very welcome to share them.

The belly (especially on the right side) seems big to me, but the pelvic bone sticks out a bit? No spine there anyway.
