Anyone use a Herpstat thermostat?

I just got mine in yesterday and have a question about using it. Is the green light ideally supposed to be on at all times?

I have mine set at 84 degrees in Standard mode and the temp will constantly go slightly past it, therefore shutting off the power, then drop, then power on again (the light is never red or orange though, always green), and this cycle continues. So it seems to be acting more like a non-proportional than a proportional thermostat. I've tried it in Lo 1 and Lo 2 mode and same results pretty much. Haven't had time to try Hi 1 or Hi 2. Anyway, is this how it should work or should I use one of the Power Matching Modes? Thanks.

I have a couple of Herpstats that I use in standard mode. I get the orange and red lights too, but I keep my apartment relatively cool (about 65-67 year-round). I'm guessing that your thermostat is maintaining more consistent temps than mine due to your ambient room temps being closer to your t-stat setting. Green is the low-output indicator, so it sounds like your temps are never dropping low enough to necessitate higher output.
