Aspen bedding and pinkie eating

Now I have my new snow corn, and it has settled in well, and eating large pinkies with vigour, I was just wondering if there was any risk with a snake accidentally eating small pieces of the aspen bedding that sometimes sticks on the pinkie?

They aren't big bits, just very fine bits that I'm sure would just pass through, if you know what I mean. They wouldn't cause any issues would they? :shrugs: Just want to put my mind at ease, as I'm a very paranoid newbie at this!

They certainly can cause problems, lodging in the gut and causing an impaction. A lot of people feed in separate tubs to avoid the risk, or use a paper plate if the snake will only feed in the viv.

I always feed my snakes in a cardboard box so that I don't have to worry about them eating their bedding AND so that their no confusion b/w feeding and regular handling.
