my corn took 2 feedings f/t, now she wont take them anymore grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! this is the reason i got her for such a good deal, she wouldnt take f/t and the breeder didnt have time to keep getting live mice as all his corns usually start taking f/t right away....any ideas, 2 feedings she has eaten live mice since the last f/t....any ideas???
 
Maybe cuting a little hole in the skull and sqeezing a bit of juice out? Makes the smell stronger. And you can use rubber tipped tweezers to make the f/t mouse move around like it's alive.
 
Where is he on his shed cycle? Could just be one of those who won't eat for a week before shedding. Don't offer food every day or your snake might get conditioned to refusing because it knows it's only a day til the next offering. Stay on a 5 day cycle and see what happens. If the snake is a baby and goes 3 weeks without eating (seeing you've already proven it will eat), then you can go for alternatine feeding methods but otherwise doen't sweat it!
 
Try warming the mouse up, then drag it in front of the snake with some tongs, so the snake thinks its alive, that normally works, as they react to movement as well as sensing the body temp of the victim.
 
You can always try a little anole scent or lizard maker on it. Teasing is a good idea as suggested above.
