just wanted to ask if any one els has had this.

Had my corn about 4 months now and has been good as gold but recently he seams to be getting a bit grumpy and has hissed at me a few time when gone to handle him.

Is it just the time of the year or is it him just growing up?He is held at least every other day except after feeding and has never bit me.

He settles down fine when he is being held its just the initial picking up which was never a problem.

Is he about to shed? If the snake in question is the one in your avatar then he is in blue which means he will be shedding soon. They can get a bit grumpy at this time so that may be it.

Could be the season, could be that he's about to shed. Who knows? I will say this though; Of my 17 corns, I have one that is a bit jumpy and gives a hiss the majority of the time I go in to pick him up. He has never bit and I am not too worried that he is going to start after 5 yrs. Anyway, if he isn't biting and settles down nicely, I wouldn't worry about it. Just chalk it up to individual personality.
