This little girl entered my life, not long ago, and I just love her.
She's a '07 Baird's Rat Snake.
Can't wait to see what she looks like when fully matured.

Freshly shed, it was time to go out for some photos.:)

First, I will post some outdoor shots and, then, will be some indoor shots.

I hope you're not too in love with her current look, Deb. Under your intense level of snake-care, she's going to look completely different within a year. She's gorgeous, and Bairdis only get better, whichever direction they take. I love lots of different snakes, and corns are my favorite, but objectively I can't say that there's a better looking snake than a good Bairdi. They rock!

Get any rattling out of her yet? Mine have good temperaments, but they love to rattle! :)

Yesterday (when I, initially, picked her up), she did rattle, just a tiny bit, but ... stopped just as fast.:)

One of these day, I will have to come up with a name, for her, so that I can stop saying she/her all the time.;)

I am really enjoying Saphira, unfortantly she is on the small side and I tried bumping up the amt of pinkies I give her and she re-gurged. She doesn't have as much copper, her Dad was more of a powder blue, I am hoping she will turn out like him.

Don't know how many you gave her but, with the exception of few species, I don't like giving more than two feed items, at most, for that very possibility.
If the pink, that you give, creates a lump, in her belly, it should be sufficient until she needs to move up to two pinks or a bigger prey item. If it (one or two) does not create a lump, and although she may be small, she could, probably, be moved up to a little bigger prey item (i.e. Lg. Pink or Peach fuzzy). Remember, too, that, after a regurge, you need to give extra time before feeding again (10 days is what's, usually, recommended).

I love the "powder blue" Baird's.:)

I gave her 2 small pinkies, and afterwards I waited over 10 days before feeding again. I am going to try maybe 2 times a week, very small pinkies, she seems to do good on the smaller ones. She is my first snake that has regurged.

Thats a real nice baird. Be sure you keeping taking pictures. Boy they sure do change colors as they get older. I have one that i got in 04 and she doesn't even look like the same snake.
