behavior diff. b/t sexes

I find it tends to depend on the individual, from my own personal experiences. You get nice and nasty snakes of either gender.

However, males and females sometimes change their behaviour during the mating season. Males may fast, for instance, which I think females don't do.
 
I agree with Plissken. I have mellow ones in both sexes and as a rule, the males will go off feed at breeding time and most females won't. My female that just bred was of course the exception to the rule and didn't eat more than 3 times before laying. I suspect she's going to double clutch and has now stopped eating again!
