Well I've always loved Cornsnakes, I've had them since I started in the hobby. But recently, What used to be an exciting part of my week( feeding time) was getting to be more like " just another thing to do" and not just fun anymore. So I decided to slim down my collection of 23 corns. To my suprise, someone contacted me not to purchase 10 or 12 that I wanted to sell, but to purchase the whole thing, Rack, herpstat, bins and of course all my corns... at first I was excited, but not to long after I felt a little pang of regret... Well it was fun while it lasted. I still have alot of other herps to play with and admire ( ATB, Uromastyx, Gargoyle geck, leopard gecko and of course my cool bearded dragons..) But I don't know how long I will last with out a corn snake in the house... Wll maybe with all the $$ i could get a nice Anery Tessera....ho no here i go again!!!! :)

If you are wanting to get out of "the game" of corn snake breeding, I would say that it is probably best that you do this. If you still want one or two corns around the house then get a couple of morphs that you really like. I recently had to cut my collection from 9 to 4, due to working out of town during the summer and did not want to burden my wife with too much while I was gone. I am now down to 3 snakes, due to one of my babies dying recently. I had planned on adding another corn to my collection before my little guy died but have decided to put everyone in quarantine until I can insure that they all are healthy.

So, I kind of understand your predicament. As much as it hurt me to get rid of a few of my snakes, I couldn't imagine getting rid of the entire collection. But, if you have the money after the sale to get something that you would enjoy more than a large collection, then you have done the right thing for yourself, your sanity, and the snakes.
