My understanding is the snowflaking like that suggests a calcium deficiency. My classic girl's clutch this year has quite a few of these as well and is due to hatch any day now (any TIME now...c'mon, babies!), so we'll see how the babies turn out.
I did use a vitamin powder and calcium spray on her feeds this year, but I think I started that too late. For any females I breed in the future, I aim to supplement with the vitamins beginning with their first shed of the season or immediately after breeding, at the latest.
