Branches

I mist my corns tank, but I recently found mold on the branch I had in there. I was wondering if anyone uses mopani branches for their corns or if it would be a big deal if I did. I just seen it in zoo med brand and it says it's resistant to mold and rot.

Yes, mopani branches are fine. Can I ask why you're misting your snake's tank? Corn snakes generally do not need any extra humidity and it can cause problems like you've experienced.

Well the owner of my local pet store suggested using cypress instead of aspen and said corn snake were native to the south. That they needed some humidity the cypress is super moist when I first open the bags. so I figured I should just mist and keep it somewhat damp because it drys out really fast I live in the desert.

I have never bothered with adjusting the humidity for any of my snakes, and I live in the desert, too. If your snake has bad sheds, then you can bump up the humidity during the shed process, but otherwise, the regular amount of humidity in your area is perfectly fine.
