Brazilian Rainbow Boas

Google is your friend :). Basically, though, they like warm (but not tooooo warm), humid environments. While not an arboreal species, they do seem to like to spend a lot of time climbing. Babies seem to tend to be nippy, frightened little things, but you need to handle them enough to calm them down so they don't grow into nippy, frightened adults :). Cages such as Boaphile or Vision cages are great for holding in the humidity. Regular glass aquariums aren't as good an option, due to them not holding humidity and heat as well as insulated plastic homes like the Vision cage.

Babies need HIGH humidity to thrive. Something in the area of 90-100%. Adults are a bit less picky about it. I keep mine at 75% humidity.

I'm sure that there are a lot of people here who know a lot more about them than I do!

I keep my brazilian on sphagnum moss in a melamine cage that holds heat and humidity well. I keep him at around 82 degrees like my arboreals and the humidity around 90% at night after I spray and then the cage is allowed to dry out to around 65% until I spray again. I haven't found them to be more difficult to keep than my amazons or chondros and my rainbow is really mellow. Even as a youngster he was calm. When I first got him from my friend who bred him I kept him in a regular glass terrarium type cage for quarantine. I had to cover the top with plastic to keep the humidity high enough and the temps were more difficult to maintain. I now have him in my snake room in the custom cages my corns also live in and he does great in there.
