I was holding my baby corn lastnight, and she was bumping into my hand, with her nose. I thought for shure she was getting ready to bite, so I put her back in the cage,

I also wonder if they can sence fear, you know like a dog can smell fear, can snakes too?

hope someone can help on this one.
thaks in advance!

Kannalia,

Often times a young corn is just looking for a place to hide when they bump you with their snouts while being held. I've also seen this behavior when they're in shed and want to start loosening their old skin (even though they're being held).

No need to put a baby down for fear of a bite. Even if the little fella does nip you, most likely you won't even feel it. Like most wild animals, they can key into your fear and it can make them nervous. I would just try to relax and be gentle with the little fella but I wouldn't put him down out of fear. Gentle handling is the key to making both of you comfortable while you get to know each other. Have fun with her, a snake is a unique pet and owning one is a fun and unique experience. Good luck!

Cheers,
Jason
