Burning Man 2009

Happy with this new hobby
This year I decided to give up the comfort of a nice hotel to experience something different - Burning Man.
"Trying to explain what Burning Man is to someone who has never been to the event is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind." (www.burningman.com)
For one week out of the year, about 40,000 people (I bet mostly of them are Libertarians) live in a temporary city in the middle of the Black Rock Desert, in Nevada. The main idea is "leave no trace" so when the event is over, the desert is back to normal.
Relaxed Nevada laws, open minded people, art, free self expression, around the clock activities, heat, cold, dust, blisters, miles of walking, free gifts, approachable people, fireworks, fire, very limited cell phone reception and internet, etc.
Indeed impossible to describe with words...
This was a spa vacation for my mind while my body is exhausted. I can't wait for Burning Man 2010!
