Caddyshack - Gopher Snake

Aozora

Blue Sky Reptiles
When I was at the last Repticon, I saw someone selling baby gophers for $15 each. Well, I had run across a wild one in Arizona and loved it, and it was only $15, soo.... I came home with a gopher snake.

Not sure if it's male or female, but assuming female based on attitude. We decided the only appropriate name for anything related to gophers is Caddyshack, although now we've taken to calling her Lithium due to her tendency for mood swings.

Boy howdy, do baby gophers mood swing. One second, totally calm. The next second, hissing open-mouthed and tail rattling and striking. And they have quite a hiss on them. I still jump every time. She's slowly but surely calming down, but she'll sure hiss at us and make sure we *stay* hissed.

Below are two pictures of Caddyshack in non-mood swing mode. She loves to crawl down my sleeves, although extraction always requires hissing.
