Been reading these forums for about a month now and decided it was about time to say hi. I got my first corn 2 weeks ago from a rescue centre, I believe a male anery of about 2 but will post a pic for some of you to hopefully verify. Problem is I can really see the costs escalating, already have my eye on another corn from the same place and contemplating a leopard ghecko, and thats only 2 weeks after my first. Dread to think of the size of collection i could have in a couple of years, house is already full with 2 dogs, a cat, a rabbit and 3 rats.

Welcome to the forums, I was the same as you at first, now i have 2 pythons, 3 corns, one big gravid rat snake, and a colony of mice. lol good luck with your future snakes and other reptiles

Thanks for the links, I've seen a lot of them from researching on the net before i got him and since then with more specific questions, but great to have them all in one place.
One question, approximately how long after the eyes have cleared should a corn shed? Was told he was due to shed when i first got him and waiting to see my "fresh" new snake.

Welcome to the forum!
In answer to your question, a snake will generally shed about a week after the eyes clear, but of course it can vary a little depending on your animal.

Welcome welcome welcome :) You are in the right place to find info on corns, also info on other herps in the general chit chat forum and on fauna classifieds. Good luck resisting new snakes, it took me 4 months to go from one corn to 11 corns and a ball python! Who needs new clothes.... shoes.... anything other than snakes?

I started off the same way now i have 3 corns, 2 grey-banded kingsnakes(with 3 more on the way), a ball python and a Schneider skink, not to mention 7 mice and 3 rats with babys on the way.
