Hello Knowledgeable People,
I know that some snake respiratory ailments are thought to be caused by Pneumonia, and some people recommend not working with your snakes if you have an upper respiratory infection that might be passed to them.
Yesterday a co-worker told me he had been out for the last few days with Strep throat. Today I feel like I am coming down with something in my throat. (Some of the sickest I have been in my life has been with some VERY bad cases of Strep.) Tomorrow is my regularly scheduled feed day for the 7 day and half the 14 day feeders. The little snakes on 5 day will come up again on Friday.
Does anyone know if snakes can get Strep?
Should I just suspend feeding until i get over whatever I am trying to come down with?
Besides my many corns there are Cali Kings, a Sinaloan Milk, a thayeri and some ball phythons living at my house.
Sorry this is long and thanks for any help.
