I just found out that the parents of my Snow and Amel are both het for hypo (The parents threw 2 ghosts on their last clutch)and I was wondering how you can tell if an Amel or Snow is hypo since the patterns are so light? I guess I could breed both with a ghost to see since the Amel is het for anery.

I was considering breeding hypo into their line so I am very exited that they may have it already. So far I have had three clutches from them and they seem to produce all amels and snows. The amels do look different. Some look darker and some look almost like candy canes. I sold all of the babbies except one male snow (small guy in pic)that was the hardiest from their 2nd clutch so Unfortunately I dont have any pics of them.

Here is the pic of the fam

Hypomelanism is not masked in snows. A hom for hypo snow is a coral snow, very nice looking. Good strains have incredible orange and pink.:)

Mattsnake, That is really cool to hear , I have a couple of corns I've been wondering about and was going to ask about on this site. They are homo. for both amel and hypo and are some of the brightest orange corns I have seen. When I was told they where hypo. amels I was thinking how the heck could this guy now that they where also hypo. untill he explained to me they where produced from a pair of hypo miamis het amel, then I felt pretty stupid lol. Unless they were produced from a pair that was homo for hypo I think it would be inpossible to no for sure.

Hmmm. My snows don't have orange, but they sure have pink. They resemble what folks call bubblegum snow,. I checked some pics out of the coral snows. Since the parents were het, mine should be possible het. I will have to breed them to a hypo to know for sure. My amel is very bright orange and red. May I see a pic of your amel griffindor? I would like to compare, perhaps the amel is homo hypo.
