Changing all the hides out?

I changed all the hides out in my hatchling's viv. I had some flat fake rocks and terracotta saucers, but I swapped them for a bunch of different hides I cut out of an egg carton. It just occurred to me that it might freak him out that I did that. Any insight on that? I don't want to stress him out, I was just having fun making cute little hides with doors and windows and such.
 
I have done this several times and they never seem to mind, as long as they still have a place to hide.

I think you'll be fine. If your really worried about it however, it wouldn't hurt to let the little guy go two or three days without handling. I've never done it because they really seem oblivious...
 
Also making sure that is doesn't smell like something else will help. I get neat objects for hides from the goodwill shells, pots etc. I also buy reptile stuff from craigslist I just sanitize everything by using a bleach solution or baking (if it'd wood) in the oven. I like changing up their hides, after all it would be changing all the time in the wild :)
 
Thanks guys! He's so cute wandering in and out of all of them, but he did finally chill out and pick one last night so I guess he feels ok. :)
